Jean Dujardin, Actor
Jean Dujardin leads a new generation of contemporary French actors who are noted for their energy and versatility. Coming from cabaret stand-up and TV comedy shows, Dujardin has very successfully crossed over to the comedy film genre. His Character Brice de Nice (which he will later adapt for the cinema) allowed him to win 4 times “Graines de star”, a TV-show dedicated to scout new talents. Then, from 1999 to 2003, he played in the comedy show Un gars, une Fille which was a huge success in France, with an average of a third of the TV-audience per night. Yet, his comedic talents have not prevented him from earning praise in dramatic roles, including such films as Le Convoyeur and Contre-Enquête. Today he is one of the most sought-after actors in France…a career to watch.
