SYNOPSIS Port-en Bessin. A fishing harbor in Normandy. Angèle has some very good reasons for wanting to start a new life when she appears in Tony’s life, a fisherman-sailor, emotionally adrift since his father disappeared at sea.
In spite of his desire for her, Tony remains aloof, Angèle is too beautiful, too mysterious, too disconcerting... he cannot trust her motives.

REVIEWS ELLE : “An overwhelming love story that will pull you in like an undertow.”
Le Monde : “This story of emotional self-reconstruction is told with tact, carefully, without effect nor sentimentality. The director’s candour, her occasional clumsiness are assets, symptomatic of authenticity .”
Marianne : “A first feature unlike any other, more intuitive and honest than most, shouldered by an exceptional cast.”
Première : “A first film that is both delicate and infinitely modest, Angèle et Tony is a stirring ode to those who remain strong against all odds.”
