FRENCH CINEMATHEQUE, A FOCUS ON FRENCH CINEMA SERIES:

Spring is rapidly approaching, and the Focus on French Cinema film festival will be upon us before you know it! For those who can’t wait until April, we’ve got a special new treat for you this year: we’ve partnered up with Stamford’s Avon Theater to bring you a monthly French film series. Every month, we’ll be screening one new contemporary film for you… but hurry! This month’s film screening is Pierre Jolivet's "COULD THIS BE LOVE?" (JE CROIS QUE JE L'AIME) THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 18th at 7PM.

PARTNERSHIP WITH ACTION AGAINST HUNGER:
We’re also proud to announce our new partnership with Action Against Hunger, a global humanitarian organization that takes urgent action on behalf of distressed communities around the world, raises awareness about the effects of global malnutrition, and provides sustainable access to safe drinking water. Part of our proceeds will be going to support their life-saving activities. Please take a minute to visit their website – they’re very involved with the relief effort in Haiti!

UNIFRANCE PATRONAGE:

Now in our 6th year, Focus on French Cinema has acquired formal recognition and support from UNIFRANCE, the official government body charged with promoting French cinema worldwide. It’s yet another step in becoming recognized as a landmark event in international cinema, and a testament to the wonderful things we do here.
