the interests of Québec in the following sectors: business, investment, government institutions, education, culture and public affairs. Inaugurated in 1940, the Office serves the Mid Atlantic region, which includes 8 states and the District of Columbia.

THE SOCIETY OF FRIENDS OF BELGIUM IN AMERICA
The Society of Friends of Belgium in America operates under the auspices of the Ambassador
of Belgium to the United States and the Consul General of Belgium in New York.
Through its vast network of contacts, and private donations from individuals, foundations and organizations, the Society of friends of Belgium promotes and sponsors cultural events in the U.S. It also assists in promoting up-and-coming Belgian artists in the United States,
demonstrating the depth and diversity of the Belgian cultural heritage.

The Avon Theatre Film Centre is a non-profit, member supported cinema devoted to providing the community the finest in new independent and foreign films, family films, cult favorites and classics. WESTCHESTER ACCUEIL
A welcome service for new francophone families moving to Westchester County that offers many cultural and social activities. It currently has 350 members. The WA introduces relocated families to American culture and provides practical assistance. WA is part of the Fédération Internationale des Accueils Français à l’Etranger (FIAFE). WA is a non-profit organization founded in 1985.

ACTION AGAINST HUNGER
We’re also proud to announce our new partnership with Action Against Hunger, a global humanitarian organization that takes urgent action on behalf of distressed communities around the world, raises awareness about the effects of global malnutrition, and provides sustainable access to safe drinking water. 20% of the net proceeds of the event Focus on French Cinema 2010 will be going to support their life-saving activities.
