Showcases the amazing diversity of French and Francophone cultures. Focus on French Cinema promotes French film as artistic entertainment and a powerful storytelling medium.
Provides a learning tool to teachers and students: an authentic way to convey French culture and language.
Fosters ties of friendship between French and American cultures by reaching out to a large public of francophiles, francophones, students and avid movie goers.
Focus on French Cinema is an event organized by:
ALLIANCE FRANCAISE OF GREENWICH A community of francophiles and francophones with over 300 members, A school where adults and children learn French with native-speaking teachers, A resource center that provides books, videos, DVDs & information about France, An association that belongs to a network of more than 1,700 Alliances Françaises, A non-profit organization founded in 1918.
Its purpose is to:
Encourage and further the knowledge of French culture and language,
through lectures, theater, cinema and scholarships, Reinforce friendship and cultural links between American and French people through many events including wine tastings, book clubs, small group discussion and many others activities. Welcome French families in the area. www.afgreenwich.org

FRENCH FEELING FILMS An American company distributing French movies in VO-STA (Original Version with American subtitles) created and managed for the past 20 years by two movie industry professionals. Patrick Gimenez and his partner André Lazare have produced and distributed over 150 films. They are located in Paris and Miami. French Feeling Films has been the organizer and producer of “France Cinema Miami”, the Miami French film festival, for the last three years. www.frenchfeelingfilms.com
